Background
How a Global MedTech Leader Accelerated Innovation on Their Journey with Neysa
A forward-thinking global MedTech innovator and its dedicated AI subsidiary are on a journey to redefine the future of healthcare. Their mission is to create life-saving advancements in medical robotics, AI-powered cancer diagnostics, and cell therapy. To realise these ambitious goals, they needed more than just powerful infrastructure; they needed a true partner to build a secure, reliable, and happy home where their AI could live and thrive.
The Opportunity
A Path to a Better System
The company’s AI journey began with a powerful on-premise, bare-metal GPU cluster. While a strong start, this approach presented constraints as their 100+ member data science team sought to accelerate innovation. The team faced a common challenge: their existing infrastructure, with its cumbersome hardware procurement cycles and management complexities, was limiting their ability to innovate at pace.
They needed a new strategy—one that would provide their AI with an environment built for growth, security, and peak performance. The opportunity was to move beyond the restrictions of their on-prem setup and find an ideal solution that offered both flexibility and expert support.
The Solution
Finding The Happy Place Where Their AI Can Thrive
Neysa collaborated with the MedTech leader to design a strategic, hybrid approach. The client retained their on-premise environment for early-stage development while choosing Neysa’s proven AI-native cloud as the permanent home for their mission-critical production workloads—the solutions across healthcare, drug discovery, legal and business used by their customers to improve patient outcomes.
This new home is powered by a long-term commitment to deploy multiple NVIDIA H100 nodes, with the flexibility to add more GPU nodes for short-term projects instantly, on demand. We provided this as a pure bare-metal service, giving them complete ownership and control over their environment. This intuitive self-service platform empowered their data science team, who acknowledged the ease with which they could access entire GPU clusters with just a few clicks.
